mission: to INSPIRE out-of-the-box thinking, DELIVER thoughtful, strategic counsel, EXECUTE creative solutions and ACHIEVE clients' most ambitious design goals.
My experience is unique in that my skills extend beyond that of a designer. I am a seasoned professional, savvy in the communications industry. I bring with me more than six years of public relations experience, and have worked in agencies both big and small. I valued my experience in strategic communication, but wanted to further extend my skills into visual communication, which led me to graphic design.
After obtaining a Journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003, I began working at Carol Fox & Associates, a Chicago-based boutique PR agency that specializes in the arts. After getting my feet wet in the industry I moved to one of the most prominent global PR agencies, Edelman Worldwide, where I gained valuable skills in account management and client relations. After four years at Edelman, I returned to small agency, working with Henson Consulting, Inc. where I continued to hone my skills in communication and creative thinking. I worked with a vast array of clients, some of which include Abbott Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, The Western Pistachio Association, The Childrens Heart Foundation, Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, among others.
I received my degree in Graphic Design from The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago in December 2010. My understanding of account management and client relations complements my skills as a designer. I am able to understand client needs in a way that many designers cannot, and I can effectively convey a clients mission, values and messaging through innovative design.
